Kleiner Ratskeller in Bremen

The food is excellent! Nice place to go with friends and enjoy good beer and traditional dishes. I recommend it and would obviously go back when I crossed the pond again.

Very tasty food (great fish with fried potatoes and honey sauce) and friendly service. The decor is simple and solid. No modern frills, that was very pleasant. We liked it very much.

We didn't have to wait a long time for the food and our drinks. That was great, because we had a lot of bad steam that evening. The restaurant is really extremely tastefully decorated. No cheap decoration, instead the colors were mostly very nicely matched. The professionalism of the staff is really impressive. I haven't been so impressed by an inn for a long time.

Would not recommend this restaurant! Almost 50 minute wait for some simple carrot soup and a cold meal (salad and if I remember correctly, canned herring). Soup came with no bread and was very bland in taste. No apologies or acknowledgements for the long wait from the staff. Other customers that came later got their food before us. Also, the atmosphere didn’t feel very nice as some customers were burping and smacking while eating.

More charming variant of the "large" Ratskeller under the town hall. Small, cozy, cozy. The staff is super nice, the kitchen delivers, the service runs smoothly and quickly even in Corona times. Whether for a quick support beer in between or for a long evening: the small Ratskeller is always worth a visit.

Small but very fine restaurant in a wonderful old building in the middle of the beautiful old town. Great staff. Delicious north German dishes. Super quality at absolutely fair prices. An absolute MUST when visiting Bremen!

Very cozy place. The service was super nice and always on the ball. The food was very tasty, I was full and the price was completely ok. I will definitely visit again on my next visit to Bremen and recommend blindly!

Very nice little restaurant right next to Böttchergasse in a quaint, historic house. The staff is really dedicated, friendly and also contributes to the entertainment of the guests. Really good! Our food was also excellent, the portions a decent size. There was classic German cuisine and typical Bremen specialties. The small Ratskeller is really recommendable

Visiting this restaurant was a double experience - cultural and gourmend. Not only its interior is very esthetic, on the walls you can find interesting photographs collection. Food is amazing, reminding that German cuisine is not only schnitzel and that it can be very tasty and enjoyble too. Waitress was friendly, talkative and caring.

In the market place, very nicely located. Not quick, but solid service. Wine list a bit small due to Corona, but very homely fish dishes which also tolerate a nice Schoppen wine or estate wine. We had the plaice and the hake, very wonderful. Hygiene is top, when someone leaves the table is disinfected. A nice lunch break, thank you! 👍

If you travel around Bremen like this as a tourist, you get hungry at some point. But where to go with the huge selection? Fortunately, the choice fell on the Little Ratskeller. Soooo incredibly delicious food. As with Omma ... In a positive sense. Really nice staff. Pleasant atmosphere. Highly Recommended. We will be back definitely.

Good home cooking! Very good kale! Very friendly service and adequate ambience. Reservation recommended as the number of places is very limited. I would love to come back if I get a place.

Loved the atmosphere good food clean friendly

First, we were sitting with jackets inside. It was cold and I saw some other people did that . I think the management should pay more attention on heating the place during the winter. Second, food was fine, but nothing special. Third, I think the waitress could be more smiling and friendly. Overall, we did not have nice experience.

Very tasty food, super northern German service with style. The portion of Labskaus was a bit small for me - almost like an appetizer, no adult is fed up with it. The other dishes were big enough. The draft beer tasted very good.

Pleasant kneipe selling traditional food. One man running the place so service a bit erratic, but friendly enough aside from being cheeky to a slightly incompetent British group who really didn't know their way around the types of German beer or the food menu, who were a bit rude, joking about them to other customers.

Nice and friendly place for having a typical dinner with fresh fish and vegetable of the region. No expensive place.

We discovered it walking in the streets of the old town. You can taste traditional cuisine in North Germany and it is not so touristy. Also, the staff were helpful and offered us traditional food from the menu, something different from the usual German Schnitzel.

Authentic restaurant in the heart of Bremen. Typical food of the country, good taste, friendly attention although it was full at noon but we were attended quickly. We found it a bit forced that after charging us almost € 50 the waitress put on a little edge saying that the service is not included in this price ... (anyway we were going to leave a tip) If you are in Bremen I recommend a stop in this restaurant to taste typical dishes and very very good beer !!!

Very cozy and calm place to stay for a couples of beers or for the dinner. I tried schnitzel with mushrooms and it was really delicious and crispy. The dessert was quite good too: red berry compote, I liked it very much. The service has been friendly and I appreciated it a lot. Thanks for the nice staying. I hope to come back again

Overall great experience! The steaks were really good and the toilets were clean and air conditioned. The restaurant area was quite hot because of the warm weather.

In this place for the second time. Just perfect !!!!))) The handle is impressive in size, and very tasty. Prepare according to your recipe. Taste - a must! They brew beer, I prefer light, but in this place the clear advantage is dark. Definitely recommended.

Fantastic local food and a very friendly atmosphere. They also serve a good selection of beers. The food itself was very well prepared. We had a different main each and all 3 of them were very good. The service was excellent and attentive but not overly fussy. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
